In its second year of operation, Resorts World Cruises marked a new
milestone with nearly 3.3 million passengers welcomed aboard its the
Genting Dream and Resorts World One.

Michael Goh, president of Resorts World Cruises, said: “We like to
make the impossible possible.” This ambitious ethos is evident in the
cruise line’s rapid accumulation of milestones, including becoming the first to homeport in Indonesia.
The Resorts World One arrived in Jakarta on 16 June 2024, kicking off a
seasonal deployment through 1 July 2024, featuring four 6-night
round-trip cruises from Jakarta to Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.

In a bold move that realises a vision set forth just two years ago,
Resorts World Cruises is poised to become the first Asian cruise line
to sail to the Middle East. From 18 October 2024 to 13 April 2025, the Resorts World One will homeport in Dubai, offering a variety of exciting new itineraries varying departing varying between two and three nights in the Arabian Gulf.

For a cruise line known for its themed sailings, ranging from Lego to
Halloween themes, Goh hints at an upcoming special collaboration for
Resorts World Cruises that he anticipates will excite guests, though
details remain under wraps.

“Our themed sailings go back to experiential cruising. We cater to
different market segments in different seasons, with programmes tailored
to the various seasons. Right now, we’re working on the year-end
offerings. I’m always excited about the entertainment shows during
Christmas time. The themes even extend to our cuisine, like high tea,
and our chefs continually work to bring surprises to our customers,” Goh
explains.

One of the most unique surprises guests might encounter is being
unexpectedly swept into a real-life musical. Goh reveals that during
dinner, crew members from various departments may suddenly break into
choreographed song and dance routines. “We don’t want our product to be
so predictable. You must also give people the element of surprise,” he
says.
