Bannerghatta Biological Park (BBP) in Bengaluru has launched an exciting new Leopard safari, alongside a program to promote afforestation by selling saplings at reduced prices. The safari covers 20 hectares of deciduous forest, providing a secure and natural setting for both leopards and visitors. Enhanced safety features include a railway barricade, a 4.5-meter-high chain-link fence, and 1.5-meter metal sheets angled at 30 degrees, all in compliance with central zoo authority guidelines. This area now hosts eight leopards, offering a unique chance to see these splendid animals in their natural habitat.

BBP stands out as the first park of its kind in South India and the largest in the nation, renowned for its hilly terrain and lush vegetation that naturally attract leopards. The park’s efforts in wildlife conservation are evident as it houses 14 leopards at its rescue center, many of which were rescued as cubs from neighboring farms.
