Californians Can Visit Disneyland For Only $83 This Summer

With the first post-pandemic summer approaching and Covid fears subsiding, Disneyland is hoping to attract as many local thrill-seekers as possible. Throughout the season, they will be offering California residents discount tickets as low as USD 83.00 per day, as well as other irresistible deals that make it more affordable for families to visit.

Recently, both the travel and entertainment industries have been struggling to strike that delicate balance between increasing fares, led by the overall dire economic scenario, and a higher public demand. Instead of pursuing price hikes, Disneyland remained loyal to Californians and has, in fact, slashed prices to residents of the state:

California Residents Can Now Buy 3-Day Disneyland Passes For As Low As USD 249.00

Dubbing it the ‘Golden State opportunity‘, Disneyland will allow California residents to visit for only USD 83.00 per day, through purchases of a 3-day, 1-park per day ticket. In other words, Californian families can now buy a 3-day package for only USD 249.00 per person, for admission on Mondays through Thursdays.

When visiting on weekends, namely for admission from Mondays through Sundays, Californians can expect to pay only USD 100.00 per day, or USD 300.00 for a 3-day entry pass. In comparison, non-California residents currently have to pay USD 330.00 (or USD 110.00 daily) when visiting the complex for 3 days.

As reported by the Disney Parks Blog, a 3-Day Park Hopper ticket is also available for purchase for an extra USD 60.00, allowing visitors to see more attractions within the 3-day time frame. These discount packages can redeemed on any three eligible days between June 13, 2022 and September 15, 2022, but tickets are limited.

As Disneyland reiterates, ‘availability can change until the park reservation is finalized’, and those hoping to benefit from the offer are advised to purchase their tickets in advance before the parks sell out – after all, travel figures are soaring. If you’re a California resident, and thus eligible for the discount, secure your Disneyland entry ASAP.

The available options are the following:

• 3-Day (Mondays to Thursdays), 1-Park Per Day – USD 83.00/day*
• 3-Day (Mondays to Sundays), 1-Park Per Day – USD 100.00/day

*Admission not possible on weekends (Fridays to Sundays)

Which Attractions Are Open This Summer?

This summer, the iconic Main Street Electrical Parade will officially return to Disneyland for a limited time, in celebration of its 50th anniversary. With a new grand finale, and featuring new characters, including Mirabel from ‘Encanto’, it joins other jaw-dropping light and laser displays, such as:

• The Disneyland forever Fireworks Spectacular
• Fantasmic!
• World of Color

As for rides, the entirety of the park is open for visitation, with no Covid restrictions in place. Since the mask requirement was struck down by a Florida judge earlier this year, Walt Disney World has ceased enforcing mask usage in all of its U.S. parks, including California’s Disneyland. This means tourists can enjoy their stay completely free from worries.

On top of that, visitors reminded that all those aged 3 and older need ‘valid admission and a theme park reservation for the same day and the same park they want to visit’. Disneyland notes those are limited and subject to availability, especially after Covid, seeing that capacity and offerings may have been reduced and/or modified.

Are There Any Covid Restrictions In Place?

There are also no vaccination or testing requirements for visitors: all are welcome at the Happiest Place On Earth, irrespective of immunization status. Despite the lack of restrictions, the State of California still ‘strongly recommends‘ that guests are either fully vaccinated, or get tested prior to visiting the parks.
