LATAM Airlines joins APG Platform, offering comprehensive ticketing and ancillary services to travel agencies worldwide, enhancing global travel solutions.
LATAM Airlines has joined the APG Platform through APG’s NDC portal. In 2023, LATAM Airlines was honored by Skytrax as the top airline in South America and received the prestigious “Five Star Global Airline” rating from APEX. The airline operates both domestic and international flights, reaching 144 destinations across 23 countries, with a mission to link Latin America to the global network.
“We are delighted to start this new collaboration with LATAM. It will offer a lot of new opportunities to our client agents by opening up for them the entire LATAM network. By adding this airline content, we are making available one of the top ranked airlines in the world. 100% of LATAM’s product offering is available through our NDC Platform and more functionalities will be coming soon.” said Richard Burgess President of APG Association.
Through this agreement, the APG Platform and LATAM Airlines offer a comprehensive ticketing solution to thousands of travel agencies in over 120 countries. This partnership also allows for the addition of ancillary services, such as baggage options, during the booking process.
“We are excited to announce this agreement that deepens our relationship with APG and marks an important milestone in our distribution strategy. The implementation of NDC by LATAM through the APG network allows us to offer a more personalized and efficient purchasing experience with better fares, improving transparency and expanding our service capabilities. With APG as a partner, we are confident that we will be able to expand our global reach and provide significant added value to our passengers.” said Andreas Schek, LATAM Airlines Vice President Sales & Branding
The APG Platform features 31 carriers, offering the best fares and helping travel agents boost revenue by expanding their catalog to include both air and non-air ancillaries. Uniquely supported and promoted by the APG Network in over 150 countries, the APG Platform utilizes the latest XML technology and adheres to all IATA standards.
Both IATA and NON-IATA agencies can access transparent offers on all airline routes through the APG Platform. They can also combine airline tickets with non-air products such as hotels, car rentals, and various ancillary services, including baggage, special meals, sports equipment, assistance, WiFi access, and lounge access.
