Mr Saidi Bundan, Deputy Director General (Planning) of Tourism Malaysia said, the packages developed this time cover the states of Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Perak, Selangor, Melaka, Johor, Pahang, Kelantan and Sabah starting from June 2024 for a valid period campaign until December 2025.

Tourism Malaysia is targeting international markets including China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Singapore, in addition to Brunei, by distributing promotional materials for the Durian Tourism package in Mandarin.

“The launch of this package is not only expected to introduce more destinations that can have an impact on local economic activities, but also make the agrotourism program spearheaded by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security as one of the special interest tourism product segments thus strengthening the government’s commitment to the development of sustainable tourism in line with the National Tourism Policy (DPN) 2020-2030,” he said.
