The authorized destination marketing and management organization for San Luis
Obispo County, Visit SLO CAL, has recently appointed Cathy Cartier as its newly
nominated President and Chief Executive Officer, with effect instantly.
Formerly, Cartier had served as the chief marketing officer for around three years,
was selected during the Visit SLO CAL Board of Directors recently organized
meeting, unanimously. She succeeds her provisional role as the president and
CEO, bringing with more than two decades of experience in managing tourism
marketing.
She said that it’s an honor for her to step into this new role. Cartier also added
that SLO County is a dynamic and vivacious province, and she looks forward to
carry on promoting the region together with the brilliant staff of Visit SLO CAL.
Under her leadership, Visit SLO CAL will cooperate with their partners, investors,
and other stakeholders to perk up tourism growth and promote community
engagement, she said.
